What you should do

Consumers should immediately stop using any recalled dressers and nightstands that are not properly anchored to the wall and place them into an area that children cannot access. Contact the store where purchased or Bernhardt for a free counterweight repair kit including a wall anchor. Bernhardt is offering a free in-home installation of the counterweight repair kit with a wall anchor.

The recalled dressers are unstable if they are not properly anchored to the wall, posing a serious tip-over and entrapment hazard that can result in death or injuries to children.

Reports so far: Bernhardt has received two reports of the furniture tipping over when the drawers were opened, including one injury to an adult involving an arm bruise and neck stiffness.
