Where it was sold
Sold at Goodman heating and cooling equipment dealers nationwide from November 2015 through October 2016 for between $300 and $600 per unit. Apartment complexes, townhouse and condominium associations and individuals then generally purchased a bundled product including the unit, the installation and ancillary parts and supplies..
Why it was recalled
Stop using this product now
The pull-out disconnects may not disable power to the air handler, posing an electrical shock hazard to individuals servicing the units.
Using this product could cause serious injury, illness or death — stop using it now.
Reports so far: Goodman has received reports involving six units at two locations of the air handlers remaining powered when the disconnect handles were removed. No injuries have been reported.
